We have decided to name our Benefit Weekend in Honor of our daughter, Amanda. A portion of the proceeds from this weekend will be going to St. Mary's Hospital Family Room Project. It will offer families short term respite for those times of crisis when a parent cannot leave their child or even be a short distance away.
Every year we pick a charity in our community to honor one weekend out of our Corn Maze season in October. We believe in giving back to our community, so we have picked charites that have, in some way, helped us so that we may now help them.
One dollar from every ticket sold & all Scavenger Hunt proceeds go directly to the choosen charity.
The 1st Annual Benefit was in October 2003 and it was dedicated to The Wisconsin Chapter of Multiple Scelrosis. Patti's Peddaler's, a cycle team that does the MS ride every year, came and helped with this benefit. Our 2nd Annual benefit was in October 2004 and it was dedicated to The American Cancer Society, Madison Area Chapter.
The 3rd Annual Benefit was held in October 2005 and it was dedicated to UW Children's Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. The following years it was dedicated to Family Support of Dane County, helping families of children with disabilities.
Last year's Benefit was for St. Mary's Hospital NICU, to help purchase Giraffe Omni Incubator Beds. This year we have again partnered with St. Mary's Hospital to raise money for their Family Room Project. This project, when complete, will allow families to stay & sleep close to their sick children. We looked forward to seeing lots of you at our Benefit Weekend! Let's raise more money than last year!!!
